Terms of Use

Last updated 20 August 2026 · ChurAte, New Zealand

The part that matters most. Prices in ChurAte are indicative and may be wrong or out of date. Check the price in store before you rely on it. ChurAte is not connected to any supermarket.

About prices

ChurAte collects prices from publicly available supermarket websites and shows them so you can compare. Those prices:

The app shows how old a store's prices are, and flags lines where the underlying data looks wrong. Please treat every total as an estimate.

No affiliation with supermarkets

ChurAte is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Foodstuffs, Woolworths New Zealand, Pak'nSave, New World, Woolworths, or any other retailer. Supermarket names are used only to say where a price came from, and remain the property of their owners.

Using the app

You agree not to:

Accounts and households

An account is optional. If you create one, keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account.

A household sync code works like a key: anyone holding it can read and change that household's plan and shopping list. Share it only with people you live with. You can delete your account, and optionally the shared household, from Profile → Account in the app.

No warranty

ChurAte is provided "as is". We do not promise that it will be available, accurate, or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties and are not liable for loss arising from your use of the app — including money spent, or not saved, in reliance on a price it showed.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
